The Mother Road
It's always been a travel goal of mine and my husband's to rent a car and traverse the famed Route 66 from end to end, staying in sketchy motels and eating at greasy spoons. Though not complete, we did get to see about half of it when relocating from the East to the West Coast in 2010. It's full of so much amazing kitsch, I could burst. Some day we'll have to do it up proper.
