Aspic

Submission for The Jar Project, curated by Brooklyn-based Art House Co-op. I have an odd fascination with the mid-century culinary obsession with aspics and Jell-o molds. Combinations of foods and gelatins that were often cringeworthy, museum-like specimens in their own right. Paper sculpture.

About the show:

The Jar Project will create an ongoing sculptural installation at the Brooklyn Art Library, our storefront exhibition space. We’re bringing together our global community and our New York neighbors to create a world of tiny sculptures in hundreds of little glass jars.
